Vegan Tuna in a Tin:
What It Is and Its Benefits
What is vegan tuna?
The result of our research.
Vegan tuna is the result of our latest research, development and innovation project at Conservas Rias Baixas. Our aim was to create a healthy product with no fish, no allergens and no ingredients of animal origin, while still preserving the familiar qualities of traditional tinned food.
Greentuna is a plant-based protein made from peas, with a texture and flavour designed to recall tuna. It is very high in protein, 100% free from heavy metals, allergen-free, gluten-free and contains no ingredients of animal origin, which allows it to carry vegan certification.
We currently offer Greentuna in olive oil and tomato sauce. We also produce a larger industrial format designed for the hospitality and foodservice sector.
Our Tinned Plant-Based Protein Range
We currently produce Greentuna in olive oil and Greentuna in tomato sauce, while continuing to research and develop new flavours and textures.
